About Me

Hi There,

My name is Sian Barnard, I live in West London with my husband and three cats. I first realised I had the ability to affect other peoples physiology and behaviour through suggestion while watching a European Cup game at university  17 years ago. Two of my male friends developed hiccups and I encouraged them to shut off the noise ( I did wait till half time ) and I talked them out of hiccoughing. I still use a similar technique for hiccups even after all my training because it works.

When looking to gain my qualifications I wanted a reputable course and college. I was looking for solid course content and a high quality of lecturers. The lecturers at the London College of Clinical Hypnosis all had their own successful practices in various fields; so I chose the LCCH. The benefit of their experience coupled with their academic knowledge was invaluable to me.

Before I became a hypnotherapist I worked in recruitment as a consultant and manager of a team. This was a very fulfilling role as I was involved in the coaching and advising of the careers of accountants as well as working closely with the managers of the major banks in finding the right employees for specialist positions.

I decided five years ago that I needed a change, but one where  I could build upon previous skills. So I  trained with the LCCH. I'm currently studying with the College of Cognitive Behavioral Hypnotherapy with the aim of completing a Masters degree in the next three years in conjunction with Goldsmiths University.

I practice out of a London office near Earls Court and also visit patients at their homes, different environments suit different people. As your hypnotherapist it is my job to listen and understand you so that together we can set achievable goals to resolve the issues you may be having.

Hypnosis, by it's very nature, is gentle and relaxing.... it is actually a very natural state ( check out the FAQ's page). I'm positive that my personal and down -to-earth approach, which is how I like to tackle most things, will be something that you will find welcoming and motivating.

warmest wishes for a peaceful mind

Sian
