Hypnosis and sports ...

Hypnosis is a tool, which I believe, should go hand in hand with physical training. Hypnosis can enhance the positive mental attitude of a sports person and have a direct effect on performance.

Not many people know that the Russians take up to a dozen hypnotherapists/hypnotists to the Olympics. I have recently found out that the English cricket team are not adverse to using our services either.

I work with three  areas when working with sports people:

  • Pre-performance - sports practice should be both mental and physical. I help a person, through hypnosis, in their mental preparation - over coming mental blocks, reinforcing self belief etc
  • Performance - how to focus, be 'in the zone'
  • Post-performance  - experiencing the goal already achieved to convince the muscles and unconscious that it has been done easily even pre performance.

In addition I will work on different techniques from confidence boosting to relaxation to give a wonderful well rounded positive approach.
